Due to recent attacks on merchant vessels in the region, steamship lines have taken actions to protect personnel, assets, and cargo transiting the Suez Canal and Red Sea.

Steamship Lines are sending vessels around the Cape of Good Hope to avoid the conflict zone.  This will typically add 7-14 days of transit time to a voyage, depending on the origin and destination.
